Several weeks ago we breathed life back into our weathered icecream table and chairs by painting them a bright canary yellow. Just in time for Spring. We put it in the orchard so we could sit and sip on our morning coffee while enjoying the cherry blossoms that would soon appear on our cherry tree. Or maybe to just sit a spell after working in our new raised garden beds.

A GIRL CAN DREAM, CAN'T SHE?
We are hoping that half of the cherry tree will survive. This is the second time heavy snow has damaged it. The part now on the ground has been propped up for a number of years with a forked branch and has kept on giving. So, now we can only hope the remaining half of the tree will still bear.
Yesterday was a power free day for almost seven hours. How about everyone else?

We were without for 13 hours, being a coop employee didn't give me an advantage!
You got it worse thsn us. We got about 3 inches plus another one today. I hope your tree survives!

Same here on the 7 hours. Some rural areas are still without power. It's snowing right now. Will this ever end? I'm beginning to get a little cranky.

No power outages here - thank God! - but no sun and lots of snow. I posted on FB that shared a link showing that this was the "gloomiest" and darkest winter in 43 years. I've lived in Germany before and knew how long they were, but gosh, it's been miserable! Add sickness and lack of sleep, and we're all pretty much blue. COME ON SPRING!!!!!!
We look a whole lot like you minus the cute table. We have been without electricity off and on and hours without internet. Finally got out yesterday for chiles rellenos and got stuck in our own driveway. Hope your cherry tree survives. I am like Cheryl, I am beginning to develop a cranky.
Wind got into our Tall cherry tree and broke the top out. best thing that happened to it. It bushed out all over. But was not to be. 2 years later, Wind got the whole tree. Hate that... Love the snow you got!!
I hope the Cherry tree survives, but you really did need the snow to help with the drought. Spring will be here soon, and you'll be out enjoying the table and chairs.

We had some snow and lots of sleet the other night. We woke up with a couple inches of slushy ice covering everything the next morning. And then we had rain and ice and sleet and snow flurries again. Crazy weather.
Cherry trees can take a real beating and keep on standing. Hopefully with some careful tending, this one will bounce back and be around for decades more.
