Barn Charm Tuesday

Hi everyone!  I am once again linking up with Tricia for Barn Charm.  And boy do I have a charm barn for you!

This farm was spotted along the road to Olean (home of the Testicle Festival), MO last weekend.  What is it about farm scenes that make them just scream peacefulness?

Do those cows grazing so peacefully look a little nervous to you?

These little guys were the purpose of this road trip. Would you ever have guessed they are twins? The horns give them such character. This is the first time we've had Barbados Black Belly/Katahdin sheep mix.  I'm looking forward to seeing what their horns look like in nine months or so.

Don't worry sheepies, you have nothing to worry about. Your junk is safe.

Hi Deanna, that's a wonderful barn! And I'd say those steers might have a reason to be a bit nervous. The pic of the festival ad with the bull calf and the ice pack is hilarious! I think Rocky Mountain Oysters are good! Do you like them?

Well, I could not for the life of me figure out what a testicle festival was...thought it might even be a testical removal festival like we have sheep shearing festivals...so I went to Wiki and looked it up. If anyone else is old like me, originally an east coast Floridian, and does not get it, here is the link. It really does sound like fun!

Now, back to the barn. It is a great one and the picture of the two goats is so cute. We live on a farm but there are no animals other than indoor pets. Maybe one day before I die I will get to a Testicle Festival. Loved the post :-) genie

Cheryl, I've never tried Rocky Mountain Oysters. I've just not been quite that brave. If I ever do, trust me, all of my blog friends will know about it!

Such a peaceful scene at the barn... maybe they were umm... harvested some earlier year... that would make them mellow.

:)

The new 'guys' (?) look cute! Do you still have Radar around?

Iggy, they are "guys". We also got a "girl" who the rancher swears will not breed... but who knows, she might change her mind and we'll have a few lambs. That would be ok with us. We just got her yesterday, so I don't have a picture of her yet. Radar is a happy camper. He now has a job to do again!

Hi Deanna, I love the barn scene with the cattle. Your little sheep look about as much alike as my twin girls do. It will be interesting to see their horns in a few months.
Thanks for stopping by and your nice comment.

We must live in a black hole. Why do we always find out about the fun stuff to do right after it happened? Great barn shot, by the way.

Peaceful barn scene, yes. Testicle anything is beyond me these days--ROFL!
Cute goats! I hope you can get a pic of the frigid girl, too. ;)
Have a great day!! :):)

I think I'd try cow testicles right after I'd try cow tongues. And that would be never!

Very nice barn, even if the cows are looking for the nearest highway outta there! LOL

I'm with you, ChicagoLady. LOL

That's a great shot of the barn. It does look very peaceful there. I think the cattle were nervous because they were sunbathing in the nude and you caught them. :)

I just checked out your friend's link for the Testicle Festival. Looks like fun. (didn't think of those kind....lol)

I hope you're feeling better now. *hugs*

Hi, I just sold a Black Katahdin dorper ram lamb 2 1/2 months old with horns coming in. So cute and the man that bought him had Barbados ewes. Your farm is beautiful.
