Oh, by the way, I freeze my wonderfully tart cherries (previous post) to be used in the best cherry pies in the country.
Today's barn was spotted along Hwy. 94, not too far from Herman, MO. It seems the countryside is dotted with barns, with a new old one around every bend. A few times I was focused on one barn while Jim was saying, "hey, look at this one!"
There is something about these arches that is so plesing to the eye. I'd love to renovate this into a business of some sort.
Speaking of arches, can anybody guess where we were this past weekend?
More on that later...

I love the arches in each of your photos. That window is amazing.
I do love that second picture from under the arches.
Hmmmmm - - I think your clue gave away your destination, methinks St. Louis.
St. Lou!!!! Hope you had fun and good St. Lou eats! I think they need to make your charming barn into a tasting room at its very own winery!
The old Catheral in St Louis?? If so one of my great great grandfataher's help organize that church.
wonderful pics! :)
I so wish you could send me one of those cherry pies!
I love that weathered old barn! And the arches really make it extra-special. Speaking of The Arch...I see you've been visiting in St. Louis! I went to the top of the Arch many, many years ago when I wasn't claustrophobic and afraid of heights. I won't go now, big chicken that I am. Have you been?
I bet those cherry pies will come out delicious! What a great looking barn! How fun to do ths, Deanna, to go driving and sharing time with hubby and looking for barns for this cure meme! Last week when I was off, we took a drive, but no barns did I see :(
but I do enjoy your barns you share with us!
betty
I love that old barn. I wonder why they built such an elaborate overhang with those arches? Hope you didn't have to sit through one of those losing ball games while you were in the Lou. At least the Cards won today.
Love the arch-y barn.. such character. You are making me want to go to Hermann again!! I have fond, but foggy memories of that beautiful place (could have been too much wine samplin'? maybe?) :) have a great remainder of your week! -Tammy
I'm going to go out on a limb, and suggest a place no one else would think of. St. Louis?
Maybe you could rehab the barn and use it for your store, where you will sell pictures/prints of your barns and all kinds of different crafty things that you're good at.
St. Louis??? *wink*
I'm so glad you had a wonderful trip! This barn is one of my favorites so far.
I so agree about the arches -- what a lovely alteration to the usual straight lines we usually see.
The St Louis Arch! YaY! I haven't been there in sooo long, I'd love to go back & check out that ride up now! WoW!
The barn is pretty cool! Those arches remind me of the house I grew up in... there was a breeze-way in the front of the house w/ arches on one side like that... I loved that house! Looks like you got pretty close in that 2nd pic, was you able to explore the place?
Thanks for joining =)
Hmm...I've been by that thing in your last photo before. Not of my own choosing, but I drove by. LOL (three years ago next week) That's a great shot, by the way. Hope you had a great time while there.
Nice looking old barn, too. I bet you could turn it into quite a nice looking craft shop. :)
I gave you an award!
*looks around*
