Resolutions

I usually don’t do New Year’s Resolutions.  I mean, why set myself up for failure?  History has shown that in all of the many years since I’ve been old enough to make a resolution, I’ve never kept a single one.

This year, though, I am making two simple resolutions:

  • Count calories

  • Exercise at least three times a week

If I keep those two resolutions, all sorts of good things will come to me in 2011.  How simple is that?

So, have you made resolutions 2011?  If so, what are they?

My friend Patti D. sent me this link:

Animal Voiceovers

I think you will enjoy it.  My favorite was the owl towards the end of the clip who drank too much coffee.  It reminded me of someone I really like… ME!

No resolutions here Deanna. I am not going to count calories but I am going to stay away from the stuff I know makes me over my weight. Also I am going to hit the treadmill. Bah. I want to walk outside but it's cold and I found on Monday, muddy!

I love the red headed bird at the end dancing on the limb in his red pantaloons!

Lime GREEN pantaloons. I am leaving now. Brain not connected to fingers for typing this morning.

I often make, "things I would like to achieve this year," lists. But I don't make resolutions, because:

1. If I don't make them, I can't break them.

2. The first year I was allowed to stay up to see in the new year I decided the whole resolution thing was silly, because my brother told me the resolutions I wanted to make were silly and childish, so I decided I didn't want to be a part of it. In my defence, I was 9 or 10 years old.

So, I don't make any resolutions. Good luck with yours though!

I just have a list of goals for the year. Kind of like a to-do wish list. ;) But I never expect to check off more than half, so no worries.

That video was hilarious, actually!! :):)

I don't do resolutions, either. I make a list of goals...if I attain them, great. If I don't, well...there's always next year! ~Cheryl

No resolutions as such. Intentions, maybe -- enjoy my life, write another book, keep on keeping on...

I could never keep any resolution that involved math, personally, so you have my admiration!

Well, you know how I am with resolutions!! Think "sofa". :)

I hope you manage to "stick" to yours - they are sane and achievable and will do wonders.

HUGS!! I hope you are doing well and keeping on with the keeping on!
