Blogging has become a challenge for me lately. Words elude me and I get bogged down in the sheer enormity of life. This is holding true for just about everything I try to do these days. There are vast quantities of unfinished thoughts, projects, jobs, and just day to day things. Focus, Deanna! Focus!
Our daughter, Tessa, turned 37 yesterday. How is that possible?!? I actually wrote a long post and then realized words were doing a poor job of expressing my love for my daughter. Words tend to fail me in that way – when I need them the most.
So instead of me trying to express my feelings, I will leave you with words written by Tessa.
Within these walls we live
and in these walls it’s love we give
These walls have seen good times & bad,
these walls have seen times happy & sad
Though outside these walls we may go
there’s a promise we will always know
That wherever in life we may roam
there’s always a place to return to called

One of my favorite photos of Tessa and me
Happy Birthday Tessa. I am proud of you and the person you have become.

I'm sure Tessa knows how you love her and hold her dear. Her poem says as much and as well as any words could possibly say.
And that picture of you and her on the horse is simply strikingly beautiful and haunting - it has every emotion that the "mother with child" concept has ever evoked since time immemorial.
Happy birthday Tessa!
Hugest hugs for Tessa's mom.
OMGosh! This was a beautiful and touching post--without a lot of words. Happy birthday to your dear, beloved daughter. My son will be 37, too, this year. I fully understand how words can fail you.
Hugs from me, too. :)
Happy birthday Tessa!
The same dang way my Geek Son will turn 37 on his next birthday!!! Funny how 'they' keep gettin' older isn't it.
Here's sendin' your lovely Teresa a very happy birthday!
God bless ya and have a fun day celebratin' this beautiful gals birthday. Gee...I hope it involves cake...heaps of cake!!! :o)
I LOVE that poem Tessa wrote!!! I am blessed to have Tessa as my big sister, she has helped me in so many good times and bad. I have so many memories with my sister that are just wonderful. The one I think of often is when I thought I was pregnant (and it turned out I was lol) it was my wonderful big sister who took me to buy a test and she was there for me for the results. She was there for me when I had to tell Mom and Dad and she has been there for me so many times since then. I LOVE you Tessa and thank you for being such a great big sister. Love your YOUNGER sister hehehehehehe
If my pics didn't show on my last post I've got it fixed now. :o)
What a great post! Happy Birthday Tessa. I love that picture of you all on the horse. It's just stiking beautiful!!
Blessings to you all.

Aww...what a sweet post. Happy Birthday, Tessa. I hope she enjoyed her birthday.
That's a great photo of the two of you on the horse. I can see why it might be one of your favorites. What a treasure. And that poem was beautiful :)
Happy Birthday Tessa!! I love your name, you don't hear it that often!!
What a beautiful poem she wrote, Deanna; it speaks of love in a famliy and how a house becomes a home because of those that are there living together tied together with love.
I like what Iggy said about you and her on the horse.
So neat that she lives close by so you can see her as often as you guys can.....
betty
Happy Birthday wishes to your daughter! Love her poem. My daughter will turn 39 in a couple of months. How can that be? I know what you mean about blogging being a challenge. It has been for me, too, lately. It's a busy time of year. Take care, Cheryl
