I've been jinxed. I bragged at BlueRidgeGal's blog that I like Vista. Sigh.
I have been fighting with my computer all day. I power up and all seems fine. I do one thing. It does it. Then it goes into stupid mode. I've done all the cleanups I know how.
Will try again tomorrow but.. know I would be checking your blogs and making my usual very insightful, totally helpful, invaluable, sometimes histerical, always gripping comments if I could...
And Gal... I may be asking you more about Apple very soon...

Hope you get things straightened out. As for me, I'm sticking with eXtra Pee.
So far..so far I haven't had any problems with Vista but I still prefer XP *shrugs*
Every system has it's advantages, but every system also has its disadvantages. If you changed to something else every time the current system is playing up you'd fast run out of options.
Just hang in there, Punkn! And... Maybe get one of those stress balls? I had one given to me for Christmas, wanna borrow it? ;)
I seriously considered switching Gal but the embroidery program I use for my business is not compatible with the Mac *sigh*

AK the darn thing locks up. I open a program and that is it - it locks up. I open an email - and can't reply because it is locked up
Ahhh JR ty for the tip but it didn't help. I took it in to have someone look at it this afternoon - I have to have the computer for my business so I really had no choice

Karla - I hope it doesn't start acting up on you. I've been noticing little glitches over the past few weeks and then, like I said, it got stupid on me lol.
You are so right, Tori. I used to have one of those stress balls but once I became my own boss the stress melted away. I might have to dig it out again.
(for those who are wondering, I am checking email and blogs from the church computer. lol I came in early so I could)

I had to get windows updates on a Vista laptop for a customer of mine the other day - seems they turned off auto-updates. 94 updates! and 243 megabytes downloaded and 3 hours later... I was finally done!
Wow Iggy. My auto update is on. Computer is still in the shop. :(
Hope the computer's not in the shop for long.
I hope you get your computer fixed soon. I'm still on XP here, with basically no problems. We have Vista at work, but the only problems we've had have been other problems not related to Vista.
I have XP on this pc but vista on my laptop. So far no issues. Hope you get it sorted out soon.
