Easter Blessings

"Because He Lives, We, Too, Shall Live

In this restless world of struggle
it is very hard to find
Answers to the questions
that daily come to mind.
We cannot see the future,
what's beyond is still unknown,
For the secret of God's kingdom
still belongs to Him alone.

But He granted us salvation
when His Son was crucified,
For life became immortal
because our Saviour died.
Life is not a transient thing,
It is change but never loss,
For Christ purchased our salvation
When He died upon the Cross.

~Helen Steiner Rice~

Hey Archie, where's that sweet lady been - you know, the one who bores entertains us with photos and stories of her grandkids all the time.  She sure has been quiet lately.

Geeze Edith, whadda ya care?  She was a boring pain in the patootie.  Besides, it ain't my day to watch her.

We've been busy doing yard work and getting ready for Easter.  See how pretty the rose garden looks compared to the photo in the previous post?  It's amazing what can be accomplished with a little work!

The woods are beautiful this time of year with the snow white dogwood tree blooms winking at us from under the towering oak trees.

Easter Blessings to all of my blog friends!

I've always loved Helen Steiner Rice's writings, and this poem is especially nice.

I like how you have the birds "talking" to each other. LOL That was really cute.

You've put a lot of hard work into your landscaping, and it's looking great. Very nice. You have such a beautiful place.

Not much can be done around here yet...it's just too wet out there from all the rain we've had. Oats need to be planted but the fields are too wet for farmers to plow. Their tractors would sink in the mud if they tried. I've taken orders for seed oats but none have been picked up yet. The grass is growing, tho.

Happy Easter to you and your family. I hope you enjoy the blessings it brings. *hugs*

Happy Easter to you to Mom. I have been thinking a LOT lately about Easter and how I always remember Easter as a little girl....getting up and seeing what that Easter bunny brought us kids and then going to church and then after that off to Grandmas and Grandpa Hoods house house we went. I would run in and find my favorite thing she had at her house for Easter and that was the chocolate egg marshmallows they had wrapped in foil. I would reach in and grab one knowing Grandma would tell me no more because we still had to eat. I LOVE all the Holidays we have but Easter for some reason holds a really special place in my heart.....probably because it was the main Holiday Grandma and Grandpa would really go all out for. Can't wait to see you all on Sunday so MY children can run in and find the jelly beans and raid the chocolate till Grandma puts her foot down and says no more till we eat LOL. I LOVE that they are making memories at your house like I did as a little girl at my Grandma and Grandpas house. Love you lots!!!!!!!!
