A cause to run outside

THIS is what we experienced about 8:00 last night.

It was a sight we have not seen in a very long time.

It came so hard and fast that the new oversized gutters couldn't handle it as it rolled off the metal roof.

Oh thank you God for the blessed rain.  I don't mean to be greedy, but can we have a bit more, please?  Pretty please?  Pretty please with cherries on top?  Thank you.  Amen.

Good for you. I hope you get more, but without bad weather along with it.

We got 10 inches of rain here in Osage Bluff, that's one drop every 10 inched. PERIOD!

Hopefully you get plenty more where that came from. We've had some storms roll through over the last couple weeks, but they dumped water in a short amount of time. What so many of us need is 2-3 days of nice steady soaking rains. Hopefully a wetter weather pattern is developing for the midwest.

A good rain helps but I'm thinking along the line of ChicagoLady. We need a good soaking rain for a couple of days. We had lots of wild thunderstorms roll thru here throughout the night last night and into this morning. Last one was around 6AM. More on the way, they say. I hope you get a good soaking rain soon. According to our commodities brokers, the corn crop out in the midwest is pretty much gone.

As I drove from Springfield to Branson, I hit a monsoon.
I almost pulled the car over and let it fall on my face since I forgot what rain feels like.
Sadly, it wasn't raining at home when I called Randy. Not a drop. Still.

I would think the good Lord would answer a prayer that included the words "with cheese on top" unless maybe it was Limburger...

I love the photo.
