Birthday Shopping

She's bubbly, beautiful (but don't tell her) a total space cadet (in a good way), smart as a whip, sweet as the milk shake she had for lunch, and she turned 12 today!  Happy Birthday to my sweet Granddaughter, Cara.

Cara peeking out of one of the MANY dressing rooms she spent her day in.

We spent the day shopping at the Lake.  Thank goodness Tessa went with us.  This shopping with an almost teen can sure get confusing.  Too tight, not tight enough?  Too short? (yep)  Need another jacket? (no way!) How funky is too funky?  It is enough to make this Grandmother's head ache.  In a good way, though.  We got some really good deals and had a lot of fun to boot!

Cara's funky feet

Her cute feet kind of reminds me of the 60's Nancy Sinatra song about boots and walkiing... Ok feet, start walking!  Me?  I'm pooped!

On our way to the lake to shop right now. For my 21 year old. It will not be fun.
Our cold weather will be back tomorrow.

OMG! Are bell bottoms back? I haven't clothes shopped for a long time, I guess--LOL!

She looks like a sweetie! Rest up and stay warm! :)

What fun! I didn't have a daughter, so I am completely out of style -- not that I care! But a tweeny granddaughter might. Cara is very cute.

Blessings,
Saloma

I remember following Alex around like this when she had gift cards to spend or back-to-school shopping. Ugh!! Girls can never make up their minds, lol!!! (Kinda fun though!)

Sounds like a wonderful day!

Happy birthday to Cara!

Well, as long as she enjoyed that's what counts; and I bet the day with Cara was worth the exhaustion. :)

I often hear mothers with daughters in the dressing rooms when I shop. I don't envy those mothers at all. Just keep a sense of humor as you seem to be doing - I can tell by the photo of the feet. Nancy

What a good grandmother you are! (I hate shopping -- probably just as well I have no grandchildren.)
