A few days in my world

On this once again rainy morning, I thought I'd share some images from the past week.

Clematis blooming.  A present from  my mom and dad many years ago.

Awesomely tart pie cherries.  Only enough for two pies - but  I'll take what I can get!  Strawberries are coming on strong.  Yum.

Rubberbands hooked to plastic whirly-wheels is a lot of fun to shoot into the air and then catch.  Unless the rubberband snaps your fingers (see Anna on the left)

It is easy to get away from the troubles of life when fishing in the cold waters at Stieferman's Bluff

A little front porch sitting would be so nice.  (Notice the layering of cusions on the rockers?  The first set belongs to Bailey.  She kindly allows us to remove them when we sit down.  That cat does know how to shed!)

Yep, that front porch does look relaxing. :) It's 90 and very humid on my front porch at the moment. It's not the least bit relaxing.

Beautiful flowers, delicious looking cherries (did i mention cherry pie is my favorite kind of pie?), the kids look like they're having a great time, and the grandson fishing in a stream. What more could you ask for? :)

I loved your pictures. Thanks for sharing part of your world with us. :)

LOL about the cat shedding!! but it is nice she shares her porch and chairs with you! yum on those cherries; I bet the pie was good!! and great you can look forward to strawberries!! I think fishing there would be serene too, as long as there weren't snakes in those waters! Was reading on two separate people's blogs their experience with fishing and seeing snakes......

enjoyed seeing your world!

Love the blooms. My poor clematis grows so pretty and green and blooms and then parts of it starts dying and drying out like crazy. I have it in a pot I wonder if I should put it in the ground? Those cherries looks so yummy and I bet those pies are going to be delish! I wish I was standing in that water right now LOL we need some rain for sure. I hope you are having a good week HUGS!

The Clematis bloom is very pretty. Hope you got a little fun time with the kids instead of just taking pictures, lol.

I never thought of giving the dogs their own cushions. I'll have to try that!

Hi Deanna, I love your front porch! It looks so inviting and a cool place to sit. I hear ya about the cat shedding! I sometimes think I spend way too much time cleaning and vacuuming up cat hair and wonder if she's worth it. Yep, she is! :D Great photos and I'm envious of your strawberries. Gotta get some planted somewhere. Have a good Wednesday.

I hope that someday, there will be replacement rubberbands for everyone that snaps when being used for fun. :)

Your pictures are so nice, the flowers, the kids, the fishing stream, and front porch...it almost made me forget the "Ogre" living in the basement. Maybe Bailey could leave some sheddings down there - might help get the bags packed a little sooner...

Hugs.
